Works as described. My electric is going down. Be carefule with placement in regards to pets as CFL bulbs are not something you want broken.

User Reviews: GE Long Life Soft White Energy Smart Spiral T4 CFL
Cons: sort of dim
These are ok as far as these lights go, I think we will try a cheaper option next time around, i wasn't teriibly impressed, but they aren't bad working or anything either
Cons: As of yet, I haven't any negative comments!
We have these in almost every lamp in our home. The soft white bulb with the 3 way choice is our favorite!
Now, even my dad and sister use them! Thanks,Cindi
Cons: not bright as incandescent, harsh color temp
I must say I was dissapointed in this bulb. In comparison to the incadescent three way bulb, this one was not as brigh - even on the 29w setting.
Also, the first one I bought had a really short life span. Faulty certainly.
Worst of all, IMO, is the somewhat harsh color temperature. I find that GE bulb lean more toward daylight amber than soft white. Not my favorit.
Yes, its a great energy saver in contrast to a 15ow bulb, but the buyer must put up with a few drawback.
