Deep Steep Body Butter

Posted

Pros: paraben free, vegan, made with organic shea butter, fragrance disipates pretty quickly

Cons: very fragrant

I've had a one ounce travel size container of the Deep Steep organic body butter in Honeydew-Spearmint sitting on my desk for maybe two months now.  I use it here and there if my hands feel dry at work.  On the whole, I like it.  It absorbs nicely, doesn't leave any weird filmy feeling, and has a lovely smooth texture.  It's also made with organic ingredients (although not quite all of them are) and other than the Cyamposis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum which is a 3, all the ingredients have a rating of 0-2 in the Cosmetics Database.

Why no 5 star review, you ask?  It's pretty fragrant.  It really does smell the way Bath & Body Works smells when you walk by their front door.  It reminds me a fair amount of all those lotions and what not you got as a 6th grade girl on your birthday.  Now, this is not to say that it smells bad.  It doesn't.  It's quite nice actually.  It's just a little strong.  In any case, I'm enjoying this one ounce tube for now.  I'm not sure I'd get this one again but I am intrigued by the Deep Steep's bubble bath...seems like the scent would be a little better diluted by the occasional bath of hot water.
