Pros: super efficiant

Cons: none

this is hands down the best furnace I have seen I own a heating and cooling company and my employes where less then exicited when we started caring the coleman line we had always been a trane dealer I used to think there was nothing better on the market then a trane know I have the coleman echelon in my house all my employes think the coleman is a great product we have installed over 200 of the coleman furnaces and had 1 have a problem from the factory it was just a bad sensor most dealers will bad mouth the brands they dont sell but warranty is important all furnaces are very comparable install and company are the most important I saw a guy write that in three years he had 3 expensive repairs on this well this furnace would still be under factory warranty so he is clearly lying or really dumb not to have it fixed for free

Pros: Modulating Design for best comfort ,97.7% efficiency

Cons: none

I have the Coleman Modulating Furnace (model YP9C) with the variable speed blower. I am very happy with the comfort and at 97.5% efficiency, one could say it's a "green" furnace. I have a 3 story house in MN. All the temps are within 1/2 degree of each other on all floors. It is the highest efficiency of any furnace on the market by a big margin. It cost a little less than an old fashioned 2 stage furnace and works 1000% better. My experience with the last couple of 2 stage furnaces in  previous homes are hot upper floors and frigid lower levels such as heated, finished basements called "walkouts" in the midwest. I bought the furnace because it's made by Johnson Controls.

I think Mr Freeze is probaly in the business. Slamming his competition. Plenty of anonymous slams, regarding any product on the internet, you name it and there will be lowlife comments on how bad it is, usually written by competitors.

Cons: Breaks every 6 months

This furnace stinks.  We replaced a perfectly good but old furnace with this shiny new one because we wanted reliability and efficiency. What a mistake! $600 every few months to fix chronic problems on a furnace that's less than 5 years old!  Fan has quit 3 times so far.
