“I bought 2 because the switch on my old dimmer kept breaking off. It was easy to install. The dimmer bar hasn't broken off yet, but I guess 10 days isn't much of a stress test =). If it breaks again I'll buy the more expensive touch sensitive dimmers. If you're cheap like me and careful when hitting the switch (unlike me), this is the switch for you. ” --kja634
“The actual rating for the dimmer to work is a min of 40watts per literature supplied with dimmer. That means the dimmer quits working at 40 watts of power. You will need 10-16 watt dimmable CFL's on the circuit in order for the dimmer to keep working down to 30% light output.” --JEckerle
“ Fantastic product, makes you save money without noticing it at all.” --tjpp
“We bought this switch to throw on our outdoor lights in the middle of the night (to keep wandering adolescents away) and more importantly turn off in the early am to cut down on energy cost. It was fairly easy to install assuming you have experience installing gfci outlets, three way switches etc. If those things scare you, you might not want this unit. The unit works with a 3 way switch which...” --pgallett
“We have a couple of areas where the light switch placement was a great idea until we began using it. Since the pantry and the laundry closet have their doors cover the lightswitch when you open the door, the light is often forgotten, or you have your hands full with food/laundry and can't get the switch. These switch off after five minutes of no activity in the area. Had bought one...” --aperkins
“As I am still not sure on the price of the product or the installation process, this review is not the most complete...however: There is always that moment, when you are lying tucked in bed and you notice that the lighting your hallway or your kitchen (which is 10 feet farther) is still ON! We all know that the "right" thing to do is to pull yourself out from under your warm covers...” --jessg
