Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion

Pros: Smells Good
Cons: Caused very itchy skin

I actually tried this lotion several years ago thinking that if it was good enough for a baby then it would be good for my dry sensitive skin.  Plus it smelled nice.  Boy was I wrong...it cause my skin to become extremely red & itchy.  I was at work when I put it on and I was trying to wash as much off in the sink as I could.  The itching did not completely go away until I was able to get home and shower.  I never even considered using it on my daughter when she came along because of how I reacted to it.  I'm not sure what it was...possibly the borate (borax)...which is a toxic cleaning agent btw.

Pros: Smells nice, feels good
Cons: Expensive, strong smell, may cause reaction

Burt's Bees smells nice, and has a good feel, but they use "fragrance." It's pretty potent! I don't know what else might have set off my baby's skin, but we had a bad reaction to it. One evening I used Baby Bee on my son after not using it for a while. The next morning he was flame red! He has food sensitivities, so I was racking my brain to see what I might have fed him. Then I saw a handprint on his chest. I'd rubbed my hands together with lotion, then rubbed the lotion on his back while holding his chest. Ouch! It took us almost a month to get his skin back to normal. No more Burt's for us! He also cried when I used the Baby Bee diaper ointment on him, but laughs with Weleda's Calendula ointment.

Pros: this smells great, the whole baby line is useable and I enjoy the calming scent!, its also affordable
Cons: There are no negs on this.
I bought this when I had my son Aug. of 2006 and I haven't even thought about using a different product on him since. It's thee best newborn through adulthood prod out there. I enjoy every minute of it and so does my 3 year old. Oh yeah everybody comments about how good he always smells!

Pros: Effective at moisturizing
Cons: Scent too strong

With this product I feel the same as about most other Burt's Bees products and that is that they WERE a great natural choice about 10 years ago when no other natural products almost existed, but today we have way better options and Burt's Bees just does not measure up any more.

This product like most of their others is way too fragranced and even though most of the ingredients are great, in my opinion they are not good enough for baby. So I would not recommend this lotion, there are many better options out there today.

Pros: smells great, moisturizes great!
Cons: none

I'm a dog groomer, so I have my hands in shampoo and water all day.  I use this lotion throughout the day in between baths, it keeps my hands from  getting all dry and cracked.  I use it every night all over my 4 year old after his bath, he used to have issues with dry skin but I continue using it on him just because it smells so nice.

Pros: repairs dry skin, great for all ages of human....
Cons: smell is very strong, somewhat pricey

We were given this product as a gift at our daughter's baby shower. I have always been fond of Bert's bee's products even after they sold out to Clorox, one of my least favorite companies. This is a great lotion for dry and cracked skin as well as for normal skin. My husband loves it. He uses it almost everyday. I like it a lot too. I don't use it as often but when I do it definitely moisturizes. It is great for the babies too. My daughter uses it on her tiny little one year old hands and then walks around sucking on the closed bottle...so for her, there are tons of great uses for this product!!

Pros: smooth, nice scent, I found it gentle
Cons: not all organic, pricey

I still love it, 2 years in the using and both kids have had minor eczema with or without it and the fragrance, Youngest we still use with and he no longer gets skin problems at 8 mos ( I really think it was my milk lacking some enzyme or other)

We have used this lotion on our daughter since she was born five months ago today. I feel comfortable putting it on her delicate skin because of the lack of parabens and other dangerous chemicals that are often included in baby care products. She smells so sweet after a bath when we put this on her, and we never have to worry about it affecting her skin - it is made specifically for baby's sensitive skin.

I really like Burt's Bees products.  I have been happy with just about everything so far.  This lotion is no exception.  It works great, and smells good.  And it helps heal my oldest sons dry legs.

This is a very good everyday lotion. It smells great and isn't greasy. It doesn't work the best on really dry skin.

My son has a horrible diaper rash and his diaper cream was not doing the trick and someone suggested that maybe the diaper cream was drying out his little toosh and maybe I whould try using cream instead. Well I had this cream already on hand (it was a gift) and so I tried it and it has been quickly clearing up his horrible diaper rash. I am truly astonished at how well this cream works and it has a nice scent to it too, not too overpowering.

Pros: smells great,Ecofriedly, gentle for baby
Cons: costly, not entirely green product

I use the full line of Burt's Bees product on my LO. The lotion has a pleasant scent and works well for keeping her skin soft. I find that the scent isn't overpowering and it doesn't cause her to have any blemishes on her skin as other products do. I highly recommend this lotion.

Pros: smells nice
Cons: runny and irritated my son's skin majorly, i tried it and it irritated mine also

I tried this for my son and it caused a serious outbreak of ezcema, very bad for his sensitive baby skin when he also has asthma so ezcema from that. I tried it also and it did the same to my skin. burts bees has failed to impress me time and again, i keep trying them since so many people rave, but for me and my family they just aren't that great of products- especially not for the cost and now being owned by clorox.

ok

Pros: Nice smell
Cons: A little watery

I like the smell of this lotion and that is about it. I thought that it was really gentle at first, but not too long ago my daughter developed a rash and some really bad dry patches. I discontinued use of this lotion and it seems to be getting better. I am not saying that this lotion may have been the ultimate cause, but i will not be using it anymore. I dont really understand why a babies lotion needs to have Borax in it.
