Overall
great for making toothpaste

After finding failure in Tom's of Maine toothpaste, I decided to try making my own with this stuff, vegetable glycerin, and mint extract. It took a little getting used to, but I really like it. I typically use Weleda toothpaste, but I use the homemade stuff about once a week (too much baking soda can do more harm than good) for whitening, and too feel good and clean.

I use this for all of my children. It helps to kill the bacteria that feeds of sugars to cause cavities. The gentle abrasiveness helps to keeps plaque away. Children love it! You can get baking soda everywhere, no need to make a special trip to the health food store. Baking soda lasts a very long time.
