Cons: Absolute piece of crap. Recovery time is appxoximately 25 minutes. Take a shower and the second shower will get ice water after 2-3 minutes.
I wish I had never heard of this crappy, sorry water heater. I explained to the salesman that I needed a large dependable water heater with quick "recovery time." I told him that we take multiple, somestimes long, showers daily, run our dishwasher every day, wash a load or 2 of cloathes every day, etc., and never wanted to run out of hot water.
One shower and the second one (15 minutes later) will get ice water 2-3 minutes into the shower. Take a shower, wait an hour and try to fill a juccuzi tub (for an epson salts soak) and you get less 3 inches of hot water into the tub (not even enough to cover your legs when you are sitting the tub) before it turns ice cold. Then you will wait 25 minutes before you get hot water again (and then you only get another 3-4 inches of hot water before it turns ice cold again. I tried different recovery times while in the jaccuzi, 8 minutes, 12 minutes, 15 minutes, and only a 25 minute wait got more real hot water.
And, all of the above after a plumbing technician came out and adjusted the factory settings higher.
My old, cheap 15 year old water heater was much more dependable on hot water recovery times, i.e., approximately 7 minutes. I wanted to improve on the amount of hot water we initially got and to improve on the 7 minute recovery time. Boy did we get burned!!!
