Rich, delicious, fair trade
Pros: fair trade, many use organic ingredients, delicious
Cons: not exactly cheap
So I hate to admit eating two pieces of chocolate for breakfast....but....that's what happened this morning. Chocolate and orange juice. But at least the chocolate was Alter Eco Fair Trade chocolate - the organic dark almond kind actually. And let me tell you, while it wasn't the most traditional (or probably most nutritious) breakfast, it sure was delicious. Alter Eco chocolate is really wonderful - while there are some chocolates that are rather wimpy or taste brittle, Alter Eco is smooth, rich, and delicious. Not only that, it's fair trade certified and many of their chocolate bars also are made with organic ingredients.
The only problem is that one bar sets you back over $5. And of course....chocolate is still not as nutritious as broccoli.
